My clumsy attempt at poetry.

Love and lemons

I cut the cords attaching me

disconnecting every one

I became who you wanted and who I needed

Confidence oozed from me

Leeching out of my poisoned shell

I wondered if it would work?

If my theatre could fool the masses

Would people leave their seats demanding their money back

Furious at the lousy show

Or would they be tricked by the actors

Forced to laugh and cry at the characters whim.

Braving the odds I stepped forward and smiled

Silence.

Everyone, emersed in their own productions

Could not sense my deception

I had entered the house of liars and mine had fooled them all
